Racing alongside the C2 category in a handicap format, the course wasn't especially hilly but was exceptionally quick, with long exposed roads and plenty of flat, fast sections. Peter Bidwell Memorial
The race was short and fast-paced. Although it was run as a handicap, the majority of the field consisted of C1 riders, so there was never any real expectation of catching the groups ahead. Instead, we approached it as if there were no groups in front and focused on racing from the gun. From the start, Sean and Liam were active and looking to get away. However, Liam was struggling with stomach issues, while Sean found himself out of position. A small group managed to slip awa

TKAS Returned (2026)
Six years ago was the last time Orwell visited The Kingdom for the annual pilgrimage to TKAS. Fifteen Orwell members descended on Tralee for a fun-filled weekend away. They were joined by Ann Horan, Aisling O’Neill, Carthach “Cora” McCarthy and Luke GJ Potter, so the re-pioneering of TKAS was not the only blast-from-the-past. Friday Shaun Kelly and Martijn Vercauteren enjoyed the best of the weekend’s weather. They got out for a spin, as the rest of us saunaed in Limerick cou

Rás Tailteann 2026 - from the team manager perspective- Neal Hudson
Now that the dust has settled a bit on Rás Tailteann 2026, it's a good time to reflect on five intense days managing the Pinergy Orwell Wheelers team. Firstly, I'd like to say what a tremendous honour it was to manage the team—my second year in the hot seat. I can honestly say we have a truly great bunch of guys who are not only exceptional bike riders, but phenomenal teammates and representatives for the club. Having come to know the lads over the last couple of years managi
