The final round of the 2026 Inter Club League took place on Thursday 21 August, bringing another successful season of racing to a close.

It was a particularly successful evening for Orwell Wheelers’ Sean O’Kane, who came into the final round knowing that a victory was required to secure the Orwell club league title. Sean delivered when it mattered, finishing the season with 85 points and placing sixth overall, while also taking the Orwell club league championship.

In his first season competing in the league, Thomas Connolly produced an excellent performance, finishing second in the Orwell club standings and tenth overall.

Congratulations also to Dick O’Brien, who won the unplaced scratch competition.

A special mention must go to Diarmuid Collins for his outstanding contribution to the organisation and development of this year’s league. His work introducing league tables, coordinating marshalling and developing the new website has made a significant contribution to the experience for all riders.

The Inter Club League remains a fundamental part of the racing calendar, providing riders with the opportunity to gain valuable experience, develop their skills and learn their trade in competitive racing.
