Katie Turner- National Champion 2026

Really happy with my last nationals as a youth. It’s always hard to put together the whole weekend but happy to podium across all three events .

 The TT was an out and back with a drag on the way out which meant the way back was fast. I knew the biggest difference would be made on the way out and the way back would be about getting the legs spinning. Happy to win it and pleased to see Jennifer on the podium .

The road race was a rolling 56km course with a bit of a kicker on the first half of the circuit. It was a pretty negative race which came down to a bunch sprint. Got caught out and came second in the end.

Massive effort by @naoise_byrne to be out front solo for 30km and opening out a gap of over a minute at one point  .

The following day was the crit and I was determined that it wouldn’t be a repeat of the road race the day before. I animated the race from the start and attacked the short climb to the finish every lap.

Eventually this delivered and three of us got away. Managed to win the three up sprint to the line with a very strong podium rounded out by @clodaghquigley49and @naoise_byrne
