Landers Fourth in Individual Pursuit

Sean Landers delivered one of the club's leading performances of the day in the Men's Individual Pursuit.

Landers qualified for the bronze-medal ride, where he recorded a time of 5:06.81 to finish fourth overall.

He was narrowly beaten for the bronze medal by David Harrington of Lucan Cycling Road Club, who recorded 5:02.47.

Sheridan Fourth in Sprint

Fionn Sheridan produced a particularly strong performance in the Men's Sprint, finishing fourth overall.

Sheridan progressed to the latter stages of the competition and narrowly missed the medal positions, with Harvey Barnes taking the national title ahead of Cillian Owens and Luke Bernie.

He also competed extensively across the endurance events. Sheridan finished sixth in the Individual Pursuit in 5:33.01, followed by ninth place in the Scratch Race. He completed his programme with seventh in the Men's Elimination Race and 11th in the Points Race.

His results across both sprint and endurance disciplines underline the breadth of his track racing programme.

Hendron Fifth in Elimination

In the women's championships, Orla Hendron produced a strong fifth-place finish in the Women's Elimination Race.

Hendron also competed in the Points Race, where she finished sixth overall.

Her performances represented two solid results at senior national championship level and contributed to a strong overall showing for Orwell Wheeler's across the women's events.

The National Track Championships provided valuable national-level competition for the Orwell Wheeler's riders, with the club represented across sprint, pursuit and endurance disciplines.

With Landers finishing fourth in the Individual Pursuit, Sheridan taking fourth in the Sprint, and Hendron placing fifth in the Elimination Race, Orwell Wheeler's demonstrated strong representation at the highest level of Irish track racing.

Congratulations to Sean, Fionn and Orla on their performances and commitment throughout the championships.
