Six years ago was the last time Orwell visited The Kingdom for the annual pilgrimage to TKAS. Fifteen Orwell members descended on Tralee for a fun-filled weekend away. They were joined by Ann Horan, Aisling O’Neill, Carthach “Cora” McCarthy and Luke GJ Potter, so the re-pioneering of TKAS was not the only blast-from-the-past. Our Roadside Repairs and “Get Back in the Saddle Fast” Workshop took place in Ballinteer Community School recently, where Val Smith delivered a brilliant, hands‑on session for our members. Participants brought their own wheels and through real, practical experience, learned how to change a tube after a puncture, re-join a chain and demonstrated the simplicity of popping on a rear wheel, with confidence. It was fun, friendly, and genuinely empowering, giving riders the skills

Audax is a form of long-distance cycling where riders aim to complete long and sometimes tough routes within specified time limits.
