Meanwhile in the IVCA League in Carlow, Harry Rochford continued his storming start to his debut season in the league, taking fifth place in the Blue race. Michael Hickey, another IVCA rookie, took fourth place in the Orange race. Orwell once again featured strongly in the results in the Black race, with Damien Long taking third and Dave Murnane taking fifth place. The club came away empty handed in the combined Red/White race that featured an early solo attack from Ken O'Neill on lap one and a late move from Dick O'Brien in the final 5km. Also racing were Barry Greene, Darran Kearney, and a returning Diarmuid Collins, making his season debut.
