Doran and Grimes to the fore in Newbridge

Orwell’s Yvonne Doran, Ronan Grimes, and Patrick O’Sullivan bagged results at Sunday’s Newbridge Grand Prix in a tough afternoon of racing.

Orwell’s Yvonne Doran, Ronan Grimes, and Patrick O’Sullivan bagged results at Sunday’s Newbridge Grand Prix in a tough afternoon of racing.

Following on from her sixth place finish in the Seamus Kennedy Memorial last weekend, Yvonne Doran went two better in Newbridge, netting fourth place in the women’s race.

In the men’s A1 race Ronan Grimes put in a great performance by taking tenth place and giving an early indication that the form may be coming for yet another big year.

Also in the results was Patrick O’Sullivan, who took eight place in the A3/Junior race. Fast finisher O’Sullivan featured prominently in last year’s club league as an Under 16 and has now made his way into the Junior ranks.
