2013 Hammond TT
Hammond Memorial TT 2013 Rescheulde Brian Mc Noel and Kieran Hammond Memorials 28 August 2013 The club will be running a 32.5km TT on Saturday September 14th as the Hammond Memorial event this year. As befitting a trophy which was originally awarded for a 50 mile time trial, this year the Hammond Memorial is taking shape as a rolly TT around the hills of Wicklow. Delight in Donore
In yet another successful weekend for club riders, Ronan Grimes took outright victory in the A4 race at Donore yesterday, earning himself an A3 upgrade. Joining him in A3 will be John Lanigan, who netted fifth in the same race. Charlotte MacDonald also placed fifth in the women’s race, adding to her Corkagh Park result. More for Moore, Déjà vu for Downey and Dodd
Eric Downey increased his lead in the club league at round 16 in Corkagh Park after netting a convincing win in the A race over breakaway companion Gavin Dodd. In the B race a break of three stayed away, with Julian Moore taking the win ahead of Ronan Grimes and Brian Doyle.

A look back at La Marmotte 2013
This weekend sees some members of the club heading to France where the Etape du Tour and the Marmotte are taking place on the same day but in different parts of the Alps! Tom triumphs in 25TT, while Long overdue win
Darragh Long finally secured his maiden league win in the Road Race Champs last night, a week after Tom Blennerhassett took the gold in the 25TT Champs. For the women, Monica Marconi took the honours in the test, while Isabel Cogan bested her on the road.

Boland bounces up to A3
The Orwell results started pouring in last Tuesday, with two placings at Corkagh Park courtesy of Isabel Cogan and Siobhán O’Connor. Cogan repeated her success with 7th at the weekend in Bunclody, while Oisín Boland earned himself an upgrade with a super 3rd place in the A4 race, and Neal Hudson broke his barren streak with a fine 8th in the A3 edition.

Road and Track: Juniors in action!
One of our most promising juniors Darragh Long is doing the junior tour, another two of our juniors Rachael Kaye-Mellor and Fionn Sheridan are racing in the International Track GP. The track event is promising to be a spectator’s dream, with plenty of international riders in competing at Sundrive.

McArdle murders mountains and kills hills
It was another big weekend for the club, with Brian McArdle’s dominance of the KOH competition in the Newry 3 Day undoubtedly being the highlight. Philippe Bourdarias also earned his upgrade to A2 after nipping in for 6th in Mullingar on Sunday, while Oisín Boland took a fine 4th in the A3 race. (Updated with A3 results.)

Cogan chuffed after Carlingford top ten
The full range of National Championships took place over the last few days in Carlingford, and of the Orwell finishers, it was Isabel Cogan who got the result of note: a superb top ten finish in her Elite Women’s Road Race! Rachel Glendon’s sixth in the TT also warrants kudos, as does Eric Downey’s 40th in the men’s race.
