Exciting news!! Orwell are running a six week programme especially for women who would like to learn to ride in a group and improve their bike handling skills!

It will include advice from experienced coach Paddy Doran and double World Champion Orla Hendron, as well as a puncture repair and bike maintenance workshop.

Don’t be intimidated – this course is aimed at complete beginners, to give you a grounding in basic bike skills, and bring you to a point where you can take part in the regular Sunday club spins starting in October.

The sessions will take place on Monday nights at 6.30pm, with the addition of one Wednesday workshop.

Participants should have a road bike in good working order, with dropped handlebars (curved downwards), and a hard shell helmet. If your bike has flat handlebars, we cannot allow it on the course.

The first two will be in Corkagh Park and the following four will be road spins leaving from Joe Daly Cycles.

This programme is for NEW female members only and we are reopening our membership especially for those who complete the 6 week programme. Normal fees apply, but will cover membership of the club into the 2016 season. You will also need to join Cycling Ireland.
