WinterSpins will be starting up again in about 5 weeks time and therefore it is time for the annual roster of minders, leaders and dispatchers to be published as well.

Please look at it and make a diary note of the dates you are scheduled for. Where possible we have put people who volunteered for the roles in the last winterspins survey in for two slots and that filled about 75% of the places. Thank you. After that it was randomly filled, other than anyone chosen randomly and holding a Full Competition licence was not allocated a post December slot.

If you were not selected randomly and would like to do a slot, watch the thread on the forum and pick up a slot when people are looking for swaps.

If you cannot do the date you are allotted, the onus is on you to find a sub for yourself. The thread should be used.

If a mistake was made and you are down for an unreasonable number of slots – mail orwellleisure@gmail.com and we will sort it out. 2 slots or under does not qualify.

There will be an information session held on Monday 28th in Ballinteer Community School  for new leaders. Watch the forum for more details. If you came along to it last year there is probably not going to be anything new this year – the principles remain the same, safe and happy cyclists!

With 8 leaders each week, that is potentially up to 120 cyclists in white and yellow groups. If it transpires that the numbers are bigger we may need to pull in additional resources and will post accordingly. We do have white minders laid on for the two weeks when non-members arrive so they will take the strain there
