Noel Teggart Memorial 2025

Evan Keane Claims Another Victory at Noel Teggart Memorial🏆 @cyclingireland

Evan Keane continued his impressive run of form by taking a hard-fought victory at the Noel Teggart Memorial, hosted by Banbridge CC in Co. Down. Hot off his win at the Sean Lynch Memorial, Evan doubled up with a second consecutive win in what was a fiercely contested race featuring many of Ireland’s top domestic riders.

Raced over the Banbridge–Rathfriland–Annaclone circuit, the 123km C1 event was fast and aggressive from the gun, with an average speed of 42.8km/h. Evan was joined by clubmate Sean O’Kane, who was very active early on, covering moves and setting the tone in the opening 30km.

When a six-man breakaway finally went clear, Evan was right where he needed to be. The group worked well to stay away, and in the sprint finish, Evan unleashed a powerful kick to take the win against some of the country’s fastest finishers—making it three wins from three starts in recent weeks. It’s a fantastic sign of form heading into the Stephen Roche GP and National Championships.

In the C2 race, Adam McConnell delivered a standout ride, finishing 8th overall and 2nd in the bunch sprint. Adam rode a tactically astute race, using his strength in the closing kilometres to secure valuable points.

Luke Keaney, unfortunately, had to withdraw due to illness, but we’re confident he’ll be back in action soon.

In the C3 race, Josh Francis continued his consistent run of results with a 7th-place finish, while Matt Lynch came home in 12th. Both riders have been training and racing hard this season, and it’s fantastic to see their commitment yielding results.

A massive well done to all @pinergyenergy Orwell riders who travelled north to represent the club. Massive thanks to @banbridgecc for great event 💪🏻
