IVCA Round 7 – Curragh & Tuesday Night Racing Recap

Date: Sunday, 11th May
Location: The Curragh, Co. Kildare
Last Sunday, IVCA Round 7 took place in the scenic surroundings of the Curragh. With sunshine and calm winds, conditions were ideal for racing. Orwell Wheelers were well represented once again, with over 15 riders taking to the start line across the various groups.
Blue Group
Harry Rochford continued his impressive run of form, riding smart and finishing in a strong 7th place.
Orange Group
Michael Hickey delivered a standout performance, attacking early and securing a brilliant 2nd place.
Garrett Greene finished strongly in 7th.
Eamonn Finn rounded out a great team showing by securing 9th place.
Black Group
Damien Long added another 2nd place to his growing list of results, showing consistency and strength.
Dave Murnane was close behind, taking 3rd after a strong ride.
William Parnell also cracked the top ten with a determined effort, finishing 10th.
Tuesday Night Racing – Summerhill, Co. Meath
Date: Tuesday, 13th May
Racing resumed Tuesday evening in sunny Summerhill, Co. Meath. With dry roads and warm temperatures, it was another perfect evening for competitive racing.
Diarmuid Collins spent nearly the entire race in a breakaway, working tirelessly before being caught in the final laps. He still managed to hold on for a well-earned 6th place.
Harry Rochford, continuing his consistent performances, secured another 7th place finish.
In the Orange group, Paul O’Brien delivered a superb ride and finished on the podium with 3rd place.
