Week 3 of racing was a bumper Bank Holiday weekend, with racers traveling west on Sunday to the Galway Classic and then south to Sean Kelly Country for the Bobby Power Memorial. First up was the Lucan GP on Saturday. In great conditions, we had riders from U12 up to Masters competing. It was very special to see fathers and sons racing on the same day! Special mention to all our youth riders and parents for taking part.

The C3 race again had the largest field of the day, with strong showings from Matt, Rob, and Jonathan, who were attacking throughout. Barry, Declan, and Paul put in strong performances, getting valuable racing miles into their legs. Luke came home in 9th but really left a top-3 finish behind after a misjudgment in the last 5km. A massive congratulations to Ronan O'Flynn in his first c" race of the season, finishing in 3rd, with Fionn coming home safely in the bunch.
On Sunday, all roads headed west to the gravel of Galway, where the highlight of the weekend was Joe-Nathan’s performance! He finished in 5th position, gaining massive confidence heading into the Mayo Two-Day Stage Race next weekend.
On St. Patrick's Day, Evan and Luke headed south for more racing action. Evan was flying all day, getting up the road and finishing in 8th place, securing more points. Luke raced well but just missed out on points, coming home in 11th after being in the mix until the last turn.
A massive weekend of racing awaits as the club sends a four-man team west to Rás Mhaigheo 2025!
