Last Coaching Night

The last of our coaching nights will be going ahead, next Monday March 11th. It’s a repeat of our successful puncture repair workshop, so bring a wheel to practice on. It’ll be hosted by John Twomey, and feel free to pepper him with questions regarding basic bike maintenance. More info.

End of Club Spins

As highlighted in the last bulletin, organised club spins will be finishing after Easter, with the last one leaving the shop on April 7th. People are of course free to meet at the shop for informal spins, so use it as a meeting point for starting your own spins with clubmates who are at a similar level, or have a similar goal. With all the winter miles in your legs, you probably know most of the good training roads, but check out the winter spin roster for route inspiration if needed.

Sundrive Track open for Accreditation

After Martyn Irvine’s World Champ winning ride a few weeks ago, and with Victoria Pendleton in Dublin at the moment (she did a superb talk last Tuesday night), the track is where it’s at! Sundrive Track in Kimmage is running a series of introductory sessions at the moment. All the info is available in this article.

Randonée filling up fast!

With a little over two months left, entries for the Randonée are already over half-full, so if you want to be sure of getting your place, book now! More info.

Club Racing

The club racers have reaped a bumper crop of prizes in the first few races of the season, the highlight being Eric Downey’s dominating win in the Mick Lally Memorial. Check out Declan’s report.

The finishing touches are being put to the club league, with it scheduled to start on 4th April with a 5km time trial along Pine Forest Road. More details will be available before then.

For the women, the Tuesday night Wheelworx-Orwell Women’s Criterium League will be making a welcome return this year, kicking off on the 9th April. More details will be published about that soon enough also.
