2019 Women’s Group Cycling Course – CANCELLED

2019 WOMEN’S GROUP CYCLING COURSE

Join us for a unique women’s only group cycling course run by the largest club in Ireland

Are there any women out there who would like to learn to ride in a group?Want to Improve your cycling skills, safety and stamina on the bike? How about finding new scenic routes and tasty coffee & cake shops on your spins? Or even meet other like-minded women and learn basic maintenance to look after your bike?

Then this course is for you.

Orwell Wheelers Cycling Club presents a 5 week ‘Women’s Introduction to Cycling’ course, designed by women for women. The course you will help develop your skills and stamina on road spins, there will be tips on nutrition on the bike, a stretching class for cyclists as well as basic bike maintenance and puncture repair workshops.

Commencing 3rd July 2019, the 5 week course will be split into skills and training workshops with the final goal to participate in the Tour of Kildare (11th August)

Requirements for the Course:

  • A road bike with drop handlebars

  • A cycling specific helmet

  • Comfortably cycle 60km in 3 hours (20km/hr average pace)

  • Attend all 3 timetabled skills sessions

  • Join Orwell Wheelers Cycling Club €60

  • Join Cycling Ireland (leisure licence) €50

  • Cost of introduction course €40

COST: €100 (includes €60 club membership fee, €40 for the course)
