The air around Corkagh Park cycling track in West Dublin has rung with cries of exertions and joy over the last six weeks as cyclists aged from 8 to 16 have raced against each other and the clock each Monday evening.

Andrew Potts was one of the many Orwells to take on and complete the Wicklow 200 this year, and he takes us through his around the hills and mountains with the club crew.

The National Time Trial Championships is taking place in Kilcullen this Thursday, and the start list for all categories has been released:

The 2016 National Road and TT Championships were launched at Murphy & Gunn BMW, Milltown last Friday in the presence of Cycling Ireland President Ciaran McKenna and race sponsor Stephen Murphy, as well as a number of Scott-Orwell representatives.Tour de France riders, international stars and the cream of local cycle racing talent are set to do battle on the roads of Kildare in the Irish National Road Race Championships at the end of June.

It’s 5:00am and I’m waking up to the tune Song of Life by Leftfield, it’s my alarm sound on my iphone and it makes waking up in the morning that be sweeter. Rather than getting up too early I lie and contemplate…can I hear rain?

And so it begins. The organisers of Rás Tailteann 2016 chose Dublin Castle as the departure point for the 8 day International road race to commemorate the centenary of the 1916 Easter Rising.
