For 17 weeks over the summer, Monday Nights @ Corkagh has been a fixture on the calendar. Started by Dave Mc 4 years ago, it has become a stepping stone for many into cycling and into racing. For others it has been a key part of their training programme. For others is just a good laugh and a bit of exercise on a warm summers evening. Read on for a round up of the 2019 series….

The last round of the league is upon us! Nobody can catch Ruari Byrne at the top, but there’s potential for musical chairs on the other two steps of the podium. And of course, the glory of winning on the most challenging circuit of the league. Why would any sane person spend a day of his summer holidays cycling 140 K with an ascent of 4400 metres in the middle of a roasting Italian summer. Louise Keane 05 June 2019 Scott-Orwell Wheelers are pleased to announce the 2019 running of the Hammond Memorial Time Trial Event on Saturday June 22nd. Sign on will be at the usual spot in Roundwood GAA Club from 8am with the first rider off at 9.30am. Open to all categories, A1, A2, A3, A4, Junior, Ladies and Youths. Scott Orwell Wheeler Caoimhe May set off to Baku to compete in the European Youth Olympics this morning! Caoimhe is part of a 6 person Irish Team and will compete in the Time Trial on Tues 23rd and the Road Race on Thurs 25th of July. We wish Caoimhe and all her team mates the best of luck next week

The Eoin McLove crosses Ireland – you leave Whitehall, head to Lucan and use secondary roads to Athy, on to Templemore, Nenagh, Portumna, Drumshanbo, Belturbut, Ballybay, Virginia, Kells, Kilmessin and back to the car park in Whitehall.
