The Gerry Brannigan Memorial Cycle will take place this Sunday the 11th of November starting at the Grasshopper Inn, Clonee, Co. Meath. (Please note that because of this event, there will be no organised cycle from Joe Daly’s on this date. We hope to see you all there instead.)

Orwell Wheelers ran its hugely successful annual Randonnée on the 5th May, 2012 over a challenging route through the Wicklow Mountains. This event was again in support of the Irish Hospice Foundation and was the perfect warm-up for those taking part in the Wicklow 200 or indeed greater challenges such as the Marmotte/Etape! Riders intending to ride tomorrow morning’s Gerry Brannigan Memorial should note that groups will be assembling in the Phoenix Park at 9.15am and riding out to Clonee for the start.

Gerry Brannigan was a valued and enthusiastic member of Orwell Wheelers who passed away aged just 52 years of age in October 2006.

This year’s Orwell Randonée will be held on August 15th starting at St. Olaf’s GAA in Sandyford. On-line registration is now closed, but those who missed out will be able to register in person on Sunday morning.
