National Champs 2016

Congratulations to all our national champions! Podiums for each category below, full results to follow.

Please see below for the provisional start list for the Men’s event. We have 155 riders entered, including defending National Champion Damien Shaw (An Post Chain Reaction).

Please see below for the provisional start list for the Women’s event. We have 45 riders entered, including defending National Champion Lydia Boylan (Team WNT).

Please see below for the provisional start lists for the Masters M40, M50 and M60 fields. We have 169, 62 and 13 riders respectively entered for each event, including the M40 and M50 defending champs Aidan Crowley (STRATA3/VeloRevolution RT) and Declan Hanrahan (Carrick Wheelers CC).

The Nationals Race Manual (PDF) is now available. The TT Bike Specifications (DOC) from CI have also been released.

Entries are still being accepted for this weekend’s road races by way of the Cycling Ireland portal. If you are having difficulties entering please e-mail irishcyclingchampsorwell2016@gmail.com, if your licence is valid we will get you entered.

The National Time Trial Championships is taking place in Kilcullen this Thursday, and the start list for all categories has been released:

The 2016 National Road and TT Championships were launched at Murphy & Gunn BMW, Milltown last Friday in the presence of Cycling Ireland President Ciaran McKenna and race sponsor Stephen Murphy, as well as a number of Scott-Orwell representatives.Tour de France riders, international stars and the cream of local cycle racing talent are set to do battle on the roads of Kildare in the Irish National Road Race Championships at the end of June.
