Orwell 70th Birthday Celebration Dinner

Scott Orwell Wheelers is celebrating a BIG birthday this year!!!!

The club will be 70 years old this year and to celebrate we will be holding a Gala Dinner on the 20th of October. Tickets are now available to buy.

Scott Orwell Wheelers is celebrating a BIG birthday this year!!!! The club will be 70 years old and to celebrate we will be holding a Gala Dinner on Saturday the 20th of October.

The dinner will take place in the Radisson Blu Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8.

As a result of the feedback we received from the survey earlier this year it has been decided that the dinner will not be a “Black Tie” event. This is a formal club event and the best opportunity of the year to shed the lycra and dress up!

A more detailed outline of the evening events will be announced closer to the date but a rough outline for now includes:

• 6.30pm – 7.30pm: Drinks Reception

• 7.30pm – 10pm: 3 course meal

• 10pm – 2pm: Live Band followed by DJ

Our live entertainment on the night will be provided by The Kaye Twins who have a reputation for filling dance floors all around the country! From the band website: “The Kaye Twins Band is fronted by identical twins Paul and Gerry Kaye, one of the top bands in Ireland providing music services for many years. Based in the Dublin, Kildare and Meath area the band has been touring Ireland and have also performed in the UK and the Middle East.The Kaye Twins band consistently has the same band members with no changes to their line-up, this guarantees a very experienced band with Mick (drums/vocals), Michael (keyboards/vocals), Gerry (guitar/Saxophone/Vocals) and Paul (Guitar/Trumpet/Vocals) .Their repertoire features popular music from the classics to the present day with some Soul, Latin and Swing styles”.

The party doesn’t stop when the live music stops – we will have a DJ on hand to take us into the small hours of the night. Our bar extension allows us to keep the party going until 2am. Start training – you will need plenty of stamina!

As part of the evening we have partnered with The Hospice Foundation as our charity partner for the night. The Foundation will be running a special raffle on the night with some fantastic prizes to be won. Prizes will be revealed closer to the date.

Tables will seat 10 people. If you have a specific group of people you would like to sit with you can either buy up to 10 tickets in one transaction and forward the list of guest names to Colm Featherstone or alternatively ask guests to buy their own tickets but please remember to email Colm a seating request other wise seats will be randomly allocated.
