Corkagh Park - Round 4

The last of the crit races of the league brought a bit of spice to both the A and B races! There was a bit of wind on the top straight to make the races more tactical and challenging which meant that working together was key!

In the B race the B+ had to work hard this week to make the catch and trio of Megan, Claire and Aline broke away shortly after and it was clear that they were going to fight it out for the top spots. Megan and Aline stayed together until the second last lap where Megan got a small gap. Aline managed to close it and win the final sprint!

Start of the B race

In the A race the A+ were also made to work to make the catch as the As went out hard from the start and worked together well. When the catch was made Áine and Claire did an ‘up and over’ and broke away again, leaving everyone in their dust, with Áine beating Claire in the final sprint. Fair play to Megan and Claire who jumped into the A race for 20 mins after racing the B race! Some going!
