A couple of items from Monday night’s committee meeting. First and foremost, all 2012 CI licences are now defunct. As of 31st January, if you do not hold a 2013 licence, you are not insured on Orwell spins. If you are having any issues with your licence, please contact the membership secretary at orwelladmin@gmail.com. Your 2013 CI membership and included insurance takes effect once you have paid for your licence.

Next Coaching Night

Don’t forget next Monday 11th March is our next coaching night. Denis and Dave T will be giving tips on practical preparation for sportives – everything from getting your bike ready for the day, as well as logistics and how to approach the event. This page has details for time and place.

Sunday Spins

Sunday spins are scheduled to finish up on 7th April. At that point, the racing season will be well underway, and the sportive season will be gaining momentum. From that Sunday onwards, there will be no organised club spins, but people are free to meet at the shop for informal spins. While out with the club at the moment, keep an eye out for other riders who are around your level, and who have similar goals, and try get your own training spins going. After all, you won’t be winning races or cruising through sportives if you’re only out once a week!

Club Kit

The December order is due in around the 20th February. Keep an eye on the forum for details. John will then organise a small order for summer kit that week, hopefully to arrive in early May. After that we will be switching to the new design.
