The first Inter club league


At the end of the Kelly/Roche era racing numbers were already in precipitous decline, so in 1995 the decision was taken to merge the Orwell club league with the Irish Road Club, and so the "Bell Amev Irish Road Club league" was born. St. Tiernans CC and IMBRC had been taking part in the Orwell league for the previous few years, and so they both joined in with the new league.


Run over 14 weeks, and with some of the top riders in the country competing against each other, it was an immediate success. The final league table is below:
