A Phenomenal Weekend of Racing

The 2025 Newry 3 Day Stage Race, expertly hosted by Newry Wheelers, delivered an action-packed weekend of top-tier racing. Representing Orwell Wheelers were Yvonne Doran and Josh Francis, both of whom put in determined and impressive performances across the three challenging stages.

Josh Francis continued his excellent form this season, securing 2nd place in the C3 classification. His consistency and strength throughout the weekend were a testament to his hard work and dedication.

Yvonne Doran showed great resilience and determination, gaining valuable race experience as she builds towards her main goal later in the season – the Rás na mBan. Her progression and commitment were clear to see across the demanding terrain and fast-paced competition.

A big thank you to Newry Wheelers for putting on such a well-organised and competitive event. Well done to both riders for representing the club with pride.
