Ian Richardson and Seán Murnane were the winners of the Noel and Kieran Memorial Trophies this year.
Congratulations to Ian Richardson of UCD FitzCycles on his overall win on a very sunny morning in Roundwood for the Hammond Memorial TT. This is the third time that Ian has won the Noel Hammond trophy. He followed up his wins in 2014 and 2015. The UCD Cycling Club have won four of the last five runnings, a run interrupted last year.
Our own Seán Murnane was the top Junior and walked away with the Kieran Hammond Memorial trophy. Seán followed in the footsteps of his brother, Conor. This is the fourth Orwell Wheelers win in a row. The Kieran Hammond trophy was formally known as the Kelly-Roche Cup, as it was donated to the club by Sean Kelly and Stephen Roche.
