What is an Audax?
Audax is a form of long-distance cycling – riders strive to complete lengthy and often arduous routes within specified time limits.
This event is governed by the rules of the
Les Randonneurs Mondiaux (LRM)

What support is provided?
NONE! (see LRM rule 3.11)

Is there a time limit?
For a 1200km event, the full distance must be completed in an elapsed time of 90hours.

What are the entry requirements?
All event entries must be made through the online Eventmaster system. A Cycling Ireland Licence is required, this can be any type of Annual Licence. Alternatively a single event licence is available.
Entry is open to riders who have completed a 600km Brevet since 1-Jan-2024 ( to ensure participants understand the challenge and are well prepared ).

How does this event it work?
Riders will be added to a WhatsApp group.
They must sign on at the start
There are controls along the way – listed on the Route Sheet. Riders must post a photo from each control in the WhatsApp group.
There may be secret controls on the route at times.
Riders passing these controls will be asked to sign a control sheet
Riders will sign off at the finish outside Heuston Station

How do I enter?
Entries will open on Eventmaster in March

Where does the name come from?
This is taken from Irelands Call, the anthem used by the Irish rugby team.

Getting to the start

The route starts at Heuston Station in Dublin.
This means that riders can get to the start (by bike or on public transport) on the morning of the event.
